I've been trying to step up my photo skills and this tour with Giulio made it happen! He is an excellent teacher - both patient and kind. He is very clear and shows you step by step - if that's what you need. But we quickly went way beyond the basics. He made beautiful suggestions and let me take the images I saw (not just what's on a list like other tours). He made me a much better photographer! I liked the idea of a photo day at the two stunning Villas in Tivoli while I was visiting busy Rome. The Villas have beautiful places for photos inside and out in the amazing gardens. He knows the history well and shared interesting stories about them. We stopped for a delicious lunch in town and ended the day with a snack. It was a perfect day. I have many outstanding photos thanks to this tour! He is a perfect gentleman, expert photographer, and gracious host. I highly recommend a tour with Giulio. I am so glad I did this. She loves photography and was going to be in Rome that day with nothing to do. This was a perfect surprise for her. He was incredible professional and she had so much fun. She took over 1400 photos that day. I would highly recommend this to any camera geek (which my daughter is). Make sure that you have a blank 64 GB memory card and wear comfortable shoes. The photos are incredible. David Learned A Lot! I had a lot of fun working with Giulio throughout my tour. He really worked with me and didn't make me feel like I was doing something wrong ever. He would take a picture and I would do the same. He was always wanting to see the shot to make sure it turned out well. At one point he could read my body language that I was unhappy with how the photos were turning out and he took the time, stopped, and made changes to my camera in order for me to have success. He also was willing to let me explore different areas on my own so that I could get photos that were interesting to me. He was also really easy to talk to and I learned a lot. Another part of the tour that I really enjoyed was that as the day went on I got more comfortable and confident in what I my photos ended up with. I highly suggest any of his tours. I made the Tour to Tivoli with Giulio which was already the fourth tour which I made with Giulio. After the stunning 3 tours in 2021 it was sure that I will do another tour with him when I come back to Rome. So punctual as always he picked me early in the morning at my hotel from where we drove together to Tivoli which took approximately 45 minutes.. Arriving there the photo tour started. As always I was a bit nervous at the beginning and needed advice. So he was as always very helpful with explanation concerning the settings and the composition of the photos and later he made great suggestions to improve the photos which I took by myself. Additionally he is a very patient teacher also when you don’t understand something immediately. His extremely helpful explanations are given in a way that you keep them in your mind to use them also after the end of the tour. And what was most impressive to see is that you can see how much he loves the photography and the possibility to share his knowledge (not only about photography but also about history, the places you visit and so on) with his customers. No question is too much and also no further foto stop if there is something interesting even if it takes more time than expected. To summarize it he is a great teacher and guide, an excellent photographer, a safe driver and a kind and great man. So I highly recommend to book this or any other tour with him!
