The neighborhood "Il Trullo" was built between 1939 and 1940 by the Istituto Fascista Autonomo Case Popolari (IFACP), designed by the architects Roberto Nicolini and Giuseppe Nicolosi, with the name "Costanzo Ciano", as "temporary residence" of the citizens of the Monti district , displaced for the demolition and construction of Via dei Fori Imperiali, and then, after the war, take on the name of Borgata del Trullo by resolution dated 2 February 1945.
