Not just monuments, not only street life, not always ancient ruins and gorgeous art.... when you are in Rome you can always take the unbeaten path, make a different turn, venture on a unexplored detour and you will find new surprises and mind stimulating signs and messages... even casual ones, paradoxes, juxtapositions that deserve to be photographed. At the end of the day Rome, like all places is also made of these small things and seeing those small things is what measure a photographer's ability to "see" beyond the surface.
