53. Going solo on the Tiber

The sun has set behind the magnificent dome of Saint Peter's Church, and the night is slowly descending on Rome.

Away from the crazy crowd, far from the hooting cars, scooters, and buses, a man, on his canoe, slips on the waters of the Tiber, rowing slowly under the Bridge of Angels, passing by the fortress of Castel Sant'Angelo, he goes towards Trastevere. The flat calm of the river's waters is broken only by the rhythm of the oars and by the reflections of the city lights. In the fascination of the blue hour, everything seems perfectly illuminated, even the darkness.
