89th Blogpost: The Man in the Bubble.

By Giulio D'Ercole

Few days ago, I wrote about street photography in a lively city that welcomes artists and performers, highlighting how this very specific and yet quite generic kind of photography, relies on curiosity, attention and speed. The professional combination of these elements, to which is important to add the one of patience, can create terrific shots that portray the true soul and the deep meaning of specific situations. About soap bubbles, I also already mentioned how those can generate in all of us, at any age, a feeling of magic. A good photo captures that magic, telling us, not only what is clearly visible, but also the invisible stories inside the event, the very moment the photo has captured. A good photo has many layers and each one has a story to tell, but most of all, a good photo visualizes the inner life of the elements portrayed in it.

Here we have a young man making his living playing with soap bubbles. His life depends on them somehow. His life is in the bubbles.... and maybe, who knows, he lives in his own bubble!
